Sign Factory started as a gadget to quickly make funny, communicative, and authentic looking variations on common street signs. Using all the common U.S. government glyphs and shapes available, Sign Factory does this VERY well. You can make a new sign in seconds, and the signs look very much like the official versions (except where you¡¯ve made the changes). But, we overdid it. In the process of making it easy, fun, flexible and entertaining we went too far. Sign Factory goes way beyond making clever signs. With detailed layout tools, layers, layer grouping, mirroring, rotation, outlines, inset outline and a whole lot more Sign Factory is also a handy, engaging art program. It has nearly 450 glyphs of official (and decidedly unofficial) sign symbols, building block shapes, patterns, and images, all interspersed with as many lines of text as you want. With Sign Factory on your iPhone or iPod Touch, you have the ability to make elaborate creative compositions and simple, clear signs. And, when you¡¯re done creating, there are all kinds of ways to share your creations. Use your saved jpegs as twitter or forum icons, and fun accents on your FaceBook or MySpace pages.
